Unverferth has announced a new lineup of Parker grains carts, calling the unloading capabilities of the 42 series corner-auger models "lightning-fast."
The new models are the 742, 842, 1042, and 1142; they have capacities of 750, 850, 1,000, and 1,100 bushels, respectively. Thanks to larger diameter augers, the new carts have unloading speeds of up to 500 bushels per minute. This is the fastest single-auger corn cart offered in the Parker line.
A longer, rear folding auger design extends unloading height and reach of the cart.
To ensure a smooth transition between the upper and lower augers, the cart has been constructed with soft-start, single-point auger engagement and a 7/16-inch-thick computer-balanced continuous flow flighting design. A deep sump helps maximize grain throughput and cleanout.
The two-way downspout on the new Parker grain carts provides fore/aft hydraulic control to easily top off a loaded truck.
Other Features
An LED light mounted on the auger makes unloading in the dark easier.
A wheel-operated cleanout door is a standard feature. The carts are available in red or green.
These carts are equipped with a transport chain, LED red and amber lights, and reflective stripes for safer road travel.
Several undercarriage options are available from the factory, depending on the grain cart model. Optional single high-flotation tires can be added to any model to minimize compaction. Straddle-row duals can be ordered for 750- to 1,000-bushel models.
A number of track options are also available for 850-bushel and larger carts. The patented Unverferth Equalizer design with 42-inch-wide belts and front-to-rear and left-to-right pivoting can maximize flotation on the 1142 model.
"The 42-inch-wide belt is a very wide footprint and provides a soft footprint even with the large-size carts we offer. It better manages soil compaction, which is better for soil health," explains product manager Shawn Gerdeman.
A number of scale options are available on these new carts. A basic model simply displays weight. The next step up offers a 26-character LED display for more data tracking features. The exclusive UHarvest data system enables farmers to track harvest details such as grower, farm, field, and truck using ISObus or a mobile device. Finally, the UHarvest Lite ISObus system lets farmers track data using their tractor's monitor.
Price and Availability
The 742 model starts at $41,100. All four new models can be ordered now in time for the 2018 harvest season.
