Another year calls for another folding corn head from John Deere. After launching a 12-row folding corn head last year, the company scaled back the model to create the eight-row 608FC corn head that's road-ready and can be completely controlled from the cab.

This new offering can fold to a narrow 10.9 feet in width to make moving from field to field simple for growers.

"The 608FC is the ideal green-on-green header solution for customers who need to drive down narrow roads to access fields they need to harvest, without having to transport the head separately," says Roger Maes, senior marketing representative for John Deere Harvester Works.

Available with or without the stalk chopping option (Stalkmaster), this corn head was designed for 30-inch row spacing.

"It's a much more durable, productive, and economical option than other folding eight-row headers currently available, plus it's fully supported by the extensive John Deere dealer network," says Maes.

The 608FC is no different than its 600C corn head counterparts as it also has improved row-unit slip clutch and driveshaft interface for longer life.

Each 608FC corn head is designed to help growers save time and money by eliminating the need for header trailers, tow vehicles, and assistance from others.
